One serving of HMB 1000 contains 2000 mg of beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate calcium, an active ingredient well known to bodybuilders that they have used for years to help them achieve their bodybuilding goals. In its tablet form, the product is easy to dose.
HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate) is a metabolite of L-leucine, which is thought to play a role in stimulating protein synthesis and whose concentration in the skeletal muscles has been found to decrease after very intense physical exertion.
